Once our renovations are completed, the secluded cottages at Domaine de la Citardière will offer accommodation for up to 12 people.
Designed exclusively to host one group at a time, our cottages will offer guaranteed privacy. If you’ve ever dreamed of slowing down and escaping to your own private vineyard, we created Citardière cottages with you in mind.
The accommodation is arranged over two beautifully renovated cottages, with the larger cottage housing the kitchen and dining area.
During your stay, you will have sole use of the cottages, pool and sun terraces, so you can truly relax and unwind.
Both cottages overlook the pool and sun terrace areas and have sweeping views of the surrounding vineyard and fig trees. Citardière truly is the ideal location to spend time with your favourite people and celebrate all the good things in life.
Citardière will be glad to offer the best of both worlds when it comes to dining. The cottages are self-catering, but we can also offer in-house chef services, if you’d like to have meals prepared for your group.
Let us know your requirements when you book your stay, and we can arrange for local chefs to cook for you at the cottages or prepare a poolside BBQ. We can also arrange wine tasting evenings at the cottages with a local expert who can tailor the wine selection for your group.
Did somebody say poolside massage? If a day relaxing by the pool is your idea of heaven, why not book a poolside massage to complete the experience?
We can arrange a treatment at the cottages from a local massage therapist who will tailor your massage to restore your wellbeing and balance.
All in-house services should be pre-booked before your stay.
In 2023 we began replanting some of our vines so that we can continue to make our award-winning wines in the future.
We look forward to tasting our first grapes from these vines once they have matured.
Our guests at the Domaine de la Citardière cottages are welcome to explore the vineyards.
Our grapes are pressed just a few minutes’ walk from the cottages.
You can arrange a private tour if you’d like to learn more about our winemaking process.
We’d love to show you around.
Recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, the Loire Valley is a rich cultural landscape with its vine-covered slopes, fairy-tale châteaux, and charming towns and villages.
There’s so much to see and do around Citardière, the difficulty is really where to start. If it’s Michelin star restaurants and local cuisine you’re after, look no further than the historic town of Saumur.
Just a 30-minute drive from Citardière vineyard, the town is renowned for its restaurant scene. Saumur is also known for its picture-perfect chateau on the banks of the river.
If you have any horse lovers in your party, a visit to France’s national equestrian school and the Cadre Noir horsemanship display team in Saumur is a must.
Just a 15-minute drive from your base at Citardière is the magnificent Château de Montreuil-Bellay, a true beauty of the Loire with its soaring turrets and ornate gardens. Check ahead for opening times and details of tours and events.
We look forward to welcoming you to the cottages at Domaine de la Citardière once our renovations are complete. For updates on Carlowrie Group properties in Scotland and France, sign up to the Carlowrie Newsletter.
